WEB WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY

Portsmouth’s Web have made a name for themselves thanks to their unique, bizarre and constantly evolving sound. The three-piece combine comedy with an impressive musical ambition and sonic scope. ‘Why Why Why Why Why’ brings together a sense of dread inspired by the likes of Slint and a complex musical intensity that feels almost black midi-esque. Still, they don’t skimp on memorable melodies and danceable beats. “This is our most deranged track yet. When we recorded it we couldn't stop laughing because it's so ridiculous,” the band explain. “We definitely got over-excited with the samples at the end - listen out for the shrieking cat, clown horn and flushing toilet to name but a few.” Keep an eye out on one of the UK’s most exciting bands. -Dan Peeke
